There are currently no reported cases where no sound is heard on the Mac version.
To confirm whether sound playback is working, go to Practice Mode
and click "Start Listening" on the Practice Mode Menu.
Make sure that your speakers are connected and the volume is set correctly.
If necessary, confirm they are working with another program you know makes sound.
