Normal Practice
Normal practice operates very simply, playing through the piece of music, or Section(s) if you have selected one or more. Clicking "Start Practicing", or pressing the Space Bar, will start the music scrolling across the screen, allowing you to play the notes as they pass the cursor.
The aim of practice is to play all the correct notes, at the correct time, as shown by the score scrolling past the cursor.
As you play each correct note, a hint message is shown to help you know how accurate your playing is,
for example, "Good", "Great", "Early", "Late".
The notes you play, and the length the notes are held, are recorded as a blue line on the score.
Pressing "Start Listening" will play back the music, but not respond to the keyboard.
